Flag Act
Be It Enacted By The Crown-In-Council:
Section 6.001 — Short title.
This act may be cited as the "Flag Act".
Section 6.002 — National flag; description; uses.
(1) The national flag of the state shall be three horizontal stripes of equal size, from top to bottom, in azure, white, and crimson.
(2) The national flag is designated as a civil flag and a civil ensign and may be used by any entity on land or aboard a civil naval vessel.
Section 6.003 — Government flag; description; uses.
(1) The government flag shall be the national flag superimposed with the shield of arms of the state.
(2) The government flag is designated as a state flag and a state ensign and shall only be used by an entity of the state on land or aboard a state naval vessel.
Section 6.004 — War flag and war ensign; description; uses.
(1) The war flag and war ensign shall be the national flag with the ends of each horizontal band pointed.
(2) The war flag and war ensign is designated as a war flag and a naval ensign and shall only be used by the armed forces on land or aboard a military naval vessel.
Section 6.005 — Royal standard; description; uses; alternative designs.
(1) The royal standard shall be seven horizontal stripes of equal size, alternate azure and white, superimposed with a gold lion rampant.
(2) The royal standard is designated as the official flag of The Sovereign and shall only be used on buildings, naval vessels, or other vehicles when The Sovereign is present or aboard.
(3) Alternative royal standards may be provided for by law or decree of The Sovereign for use by other members of the royal family.
Section 6.006 — Flags; violations.
(1) A person who violates any provision of this act relating to the use of the national flag or the government flag shall be guilty of a civil infraction.
(2) A person who violates any provision of this act relating to the use of the war flag and war ensign shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
(3) A person who violates any provision of this act relating to the use of the royal standard or any authorized alternatives thereof shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
