Treasury Act
AN ACT OF STATE to create the Crown Treasury; to provide for the powers and duties thereof; to create the office of the Lord High Treasurer; and to provide for the powers and duties thereof.

Be It Enacted By The Crown-In-Council:

Section 8.001 — Short title.

This act may be cited as the "Treasury Act".

Section 8.002 — Definitions.

As used in this act:

(a) "Fiscal policy" means any policy or policies relating to taxation and spending.

(b) "Monetary policy" means any policy or policies relating to the supply of the national currency or that are designed or intended to influence or affect the economic conditions of the state.

Section 8.003 — Crown Treasury; create; powers and duties.

(1) The Crown Treasury is created as an entity of the state.

(2) The Crown Treasury shall establish, coordinate, and maintain the fiscal policy and the monetary policy of the state.

Section 8.004 — Lord High Treasurer; create; powers and duties.

(1) The Lord High Treasurer shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of The Sovereign as the head of the Crown Treasury.

(2) The Lord High Treasurer shall serve as the implementing agent of all laws relating to the Crown Treasury and provide regular reports to the Council of State on the activities of the Crown Treasury.
