ALEXANDER THE FIRST by the Grace and Will of the People of the Grand Duchy of Eniarku and of Our Other Realms and Territories Sovereign Grand Duke to all Princes Dukes Marquesses Counts Barons Knights The Lords and Councillors Assembled and all other Our faithful Subjects and Citizens whatsoever to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting.
WHEREAS We are desirous of creating an Order to recognize those which have rendered or shall hereafter render extraordinary or important personal services to Us, Our heirs and successors, and Our most royal Family and conferring upon them the Styles and Honours of the same.
NOW KNOW YE that We of Our especial grace, certain knowledge, and mere motion do by these Presents institute, erect, constitute, and create an Order of Knighthood to be called and known forever by the name and designation of “The Royal Alexandrian Order”, to rank immediately before The Military Order of The Cossacks and immediately after The Most Noble Order of The Crown;
AND, that it is ordained that this Order shall consist of the Sovereign and a single Class, namely Commanders;
AND, that it is ordained that any member of this Order may, on all occasions when the use of such letters is customary, place after their name the appropriate letters, namely CAO;
AND, that it is ordained that We, Our heirs and successors, are, and forever shall be, Sovereign of this Order;
AND, it is ordained that Our most loyal Consort, or a Prince or Princess of August, or such other exalted patronage as We, Our heirs and successors may appoint, shall be Honourary Grand Master of the said Order, with the special duty of enforcing the due observance of the Statutes and Ordinances of this Order;
AND, that it is ordained that the members of this Order shall consist of Foreign Sovereigns, Princes or Princesses, and those persons, Heads of State, Heads of Government, or citizens upon whom We, Our heirs and successors may think fit to confer the Honour of being received into the Order.
