17th independence day, Jubilee Honours published
BALDWIN HOUSE, Glenora — Today, May 29, marks the seventeenth anniversary of Eniarku’s founding as a sovereign micronation — its second under the grand ducal constitution — as well as the conclusion of the annual Jubilee celebrations. HRH The Grand Duke is expected to deliver a brief address to the nation later this evening before taking leave to attend various personal and royal family engagements over the weekend, while HRH The Grand Duchess departed Glenora on Thursday afternoon to attend a weekend-long event in the United States and is due to return on Sunday.
In anticipation for the end of this week’s festivities, the Lord High Steward also officially announced the Jubilee Honours, which have been published as Letters Patent 2026-2. This year’s relatively short list includes the following individuals:
- HRH Cassidy, Princess of August — appointed Royal Dame Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Crown
- Lord Vail, Marquess of Stonegate — appointed as Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Crown
- Lord Alexander, Marquess of Hickory — appointed as Grand Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Cossacks and Officer of the Order of Eniarku
- HSH Arthur, Duke of Marienbourg — appointed as Stranger Knight Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Crown and Officer of the Order of Eniarku
The Council of State is expected to meet intermittently throughout June before resuming regular summer sessions after the conclusion of the July 4 celebrations in the United States, which marks the 250th anniversary of American independence.
